Conversation is an exploration. We get lost in a metaphor of planet spinning in devoid space, a ball with hot molten rock somewhere in the middle, when maybe we are a field, a curtain of curtains, a territory wild with tame places.

Conversation can take on the role of scrutinizing the surround, both in time and space, both life and us and community.

Communitas is not only a stage to pass through, not a brief stop, but a kairos moment to be within—to enjoy, take part in, grow—to work upon one’s self and each other—to expand the rest of life. Not just yours.

A church is a place one goes when hurt, frightened, alone—a sacred place—somehow parallel to a conversation.
