All living beings must be great approximators of their worlds. To live they must stretch their approximations by imagining and conversation. It’s tests and error, error, error, all the way up. Without error you are not stretching, a/k/a learning, a/k/a building a larger world. Conversation is the world of stretching, approximating, and erroring to stretch that world.

Delete the good stuff, even the best stuff, when it does not fit. Better things you will write. It is the nature of writing to beget better and better. Re-reading the merely great will trap me in old thoughts, past galaxies. Will I be so true to myself as to follow my advice?
