Is conversation steps or gradient? Shades and hues? We don’t know the words, meanings, persons. This is good. Because here there be awe!

Make sure your book is filled with wonder, with awe, with the unknown, with mystery, with curiosity.

We’d ought to have a new temperature scale, one that calibrates to a human comfort level. Water can freeze and boil on its own scales, but we need to readily know how it is out there. For us. So something at 70 or 72 degrees F would be 0 degrees. Then if it were plus or minus from there, we would know how things stand.

I can drink in too much
in one reading
let it steep
be stomped and crushed
till it clarifies
consents to be writing

Nature is all motion, we cannot paint a conversation at rest. So how are we to seek our way through a conversation?
:- Doug.
Can we hold, unspoken and close, the conciliation of this conversation’s contradictions?
:- Doug.
If we but seek to cross over from metaphor to image. . .
Metaphor the water carrier
Image the water
This too is only earthen jar
. . . the thing shall have us.

We prepare for the work of centuries of conversations, a work of no end, without measure.

In humanity
greatness
smallness
torrents rushing through
through you
each can choose
our moments

The greatness of humanity does not take up residence in a specimen but rather is the torrent of a flood once a season. It comes from the species and rushes through the one, who also may make it work and give it on to others.

Conversing is an element of being human. It is not exclusive to humans. But one cannot be human without conversing.

Simple activities promoting day dreaming can improve sociability and therefore conversation, as well as creative incubation. This could come into play by choice, emphasis on play.
