Weather as fluidity and embrace
Weather has the fluidity and the embrace of conversation.
:- Doug.

Now
tip-toeing near
the breeze whispers
into the many
ears of the trees
Now
the trees angrily
wave their many fists
at the gale
This, now
is also conversation

Footprints in the Windsm # 2085
Plants in the garden—you, I, all of us. We do not stand out, we see how the others please. Together, then, the garden pulses, weeps. This is different from what in our hard-charging days we thought we were about. Our duty is to help others notice the precious life that happens in our vicinity.
Please pass it on.

If there is ongoingness to conversation, can we allow that conversation across lives is possible?
:- Doug.
Instead of taking as a given that we have conversations, we could take as true that conversations have us. This can get us to new places.
:- Doug.
The Question of this work is whether the all there is is conversation.

Not making conversation
we are entering into
what is already and always
:- Doug.
Here we translate Alexander’s concepts from physical space to conversational space. If you will, to living space, not a large leap.
:- Doug.
Conversation is the whole of which we are a constituent part and from which we therefore emerge. Conversation is a larger thing than word and includes the gestural conversation your mother and father had that directly led to begetting you. Conversation includes playing with a dog and crying silently and inconsolably in the back of a funeral. You are brought forth as a person when your father’s eyes and your mother’s eyes gaze into yours before your cord is cut. This is how conversation keeps making life, how conversation keeps bringing us into the world. Ahh but how do we make wonderful conversation in return, bring forth life?

I don’t know the answers, if there are any. Just maybe, only maybe, I know some things which are not the paths to take.
