No, we don’t know whether we will have any effect. No, we don’t know what to do, what stories to tell, what messages to send. But we do have a power. Our power is try. Our power is far-sight. Our power is caring. Both directions.

Listen to stories, ask deeper questions, ask them to ask deeper questions. Ask them.

I am hopeful today: we humans love to stretch and be stretched; I think we will stay ahead of our creations by way of our imagination and our desire to stretch.

Some scientists take the brain for the mind. Others say this is mistaken: there is a body-mind. Others see mind even larger, in the conversations among people. Yet life may be fooling us all, seeking to make the cosmos into mind, all conscious.

Take the acorn seed and place it into the ground: it sprouts brain cells as roots and energy gathering cells as leaves: down and up. We look back and forward for our growth: our inspiration. Let us also look vertically: 360o all around. Then each of those in 360 powers: 360360. Then these to the power of imagination. (360360)i. Now we start.

The purpose of life is to continue, that is, to expand. So too the purpose of God. Each becomes diffuse—which presents risk and opportunity.

Should we give grandchildren far-sight? To ask is to answer.

Story can push out the limits of beauty and life.
