Humanity’s peak?
Is humanity at its peak? Ought we be telling a larger story?

Why does he think to make things better, he must lie? Are better and truth antithetical?
:- Doug.
What are the difficult questions we must let work us, for the benefit of the grandchildren? What questions that can have no answers are most valuable for the generations? What questions are worthy to propose to the 11th generation? What in this age are our verboten questions? Are we kidding ourselves that humanity can be improved? What are our unanswerable questions and unaskable questions? What rigorous questions ought we be inventing for species growth?

Are we as good as it gets? What can you contribute to a story that dreams humanity itself better? What notes can you contribute to the great song?

What is the background for the 300 years? Is it a 1,000 year span in which these years live? 10,000? Some lines will go extinct, disperse, forget. What is truly background, truly foreground? What is the question that now grips me? What ought to be our questions?

Most of us are conscious most of the day, just each of different things.

This morning I became aware of myself, then went back to sleep. Is it possible to be conscious of one’s self while asleep?

What will you add to your time capsule in the 5th anniversary of its sealing?

What artifacts would you preserve for and transmit to the 11th generation? Books, letters, art, movies? Stories? Yourself cryogenically preserved?

Three hundred years does not preclude cataclysms, any more than 3 minutes does. So let us think about responding to these as well as other futures. Let us talk with those who will be going through that. What have you got to help with discontinuity?

We live in story. If there is any way to bend the arc of humanity, it is through story.

We can in stories love one another into the better parts of ourselves, into wholeness.
