I do like floating, gossamer things. They too can be concrete. Concrete floats in the air!

Meaning speaks through poetry
I do not yet but must seek over and again to
understand

Word speaks through me
Word is not me becomes me
Nor word nor image—clear
:- Doug.
Whoever says “I” must always and ever move
I once thought myself solid, now I am dissolved
Torn to shreds, scattered in acid pools
I now touch wider ground and travel in foggy air
Whoever is no longer is—more: affects
:- Doug.
memories richly wrestle you
you will want to cry “uncle” but we
will not let you
:- Doug.
Elders work toward an
expansiveness, evanescing, and evaporating of being
of, for, and by the generations
:- Doug.
In creative moments some elders
move beyond the limitations of
their age
:- Doug.
Eldering reverses art
presenting the people with
new problems and elements
:- Doug.
The elder is presented with—seeks—new elements, issues, and pathways, seeing these as valuable for the generations.
:- Doug.
It may be wisdom
like spirit does not inhabit the elder
rather another way to
:- Doug.
