The development of persons toward elders is process and structure. It is your body no longer doing what you tell it, and how you choose daily to take in and work into you new information and questions.

Systems nest.

:- Doug.

The system is what is lost when a whole is dissected physically or conceptually.

:- Doug.

God (the verb) is not this one nor that, not here nor there. God is here and there, this and that, this one and that one. O you who will not see! You are blind, blind, blind.

God, love, conversation: these in the innumerable are not: they are flowing, touching, beckoning you now, now, now.

Playfulness, not play, is central. Everything is central in an Indra’s Net sort of way. Move things our world. Moving, moving is everything! Interconnecting is everything. So playfulness, a dancing, embracing attitude, not caring if anyone is watching: this is, and there is no thing. Do you see what is doing me? Reversing how I see, emerging reality in me as verb.

Reversing is not the end but the eternal midst, the eternal mist: coming out of it is the never ending relating, plaiting, dancing.

Depression and conflict are something right, pressing us on to greater development. Run towards the fire.

The world is not flat: we see the world as a flat plane extending out from a center, us. We relate to acquaintances, associates, friends, spouse, children, parents, family in this way. Yet we are related to all in a rounding, endless world, 360 degrees by 360 degrees each. The butterfly’s wings in the Amazon rain forest do cause a storm in our culture.

Eldering is a living system.

Some of the world is imperceptible
some of humanity

Peace and conflict embrace: a paradox
unify, diversify
grow! grow! grow!

Because we are more connected than we realize, we experience pain when someone daily near us suffers depression, when a national leader suffers from inner turmoil.

:- Doug.

We are bringing to focus some things that were invisible without a conceptual framework: namely the systems orbiting eldering.

:- Doug.

Last night I had nose sniffles and drizzles: snizzles.

:- Doug.

Thankfully, we are run-on sentences….

:- Doug.

We have a long way to go, but we are already the path.

Can we transcend ourselves enough to include others?

:- Doug.

Pulling apart
can be the start of
pulling together

:- Doug.

Relationship is the force.

:- Doug.

Assuming you have the good of all at heart, we’ll get there. Together.

Some folks don’t see climate change. Perhaps their time scope is too short. Or more profoundly perhaps they cannot see our effects upon climate because they cannot see climate’s effects on themselves.

Elders see beyond mechanics to organics.
