They tell who I was when I came here, what these words made of me, added to me, took from me. A story of me. If I know where to look.

A shooting and killing of two police officers in St. Joe Michigan at the Berrien County Courthouse yesterday afternoon. Looks not to be terror, simply an inmate desperate, trying to make a break or perhaps suicide by cop. Yet think: all the news of killings the last week only helped plant or germinate the seed in this guy’s heart. So what is the role of politicians and the media in this violence? Is it at base the fear engendered by terrorists? Are we simply feeding the fire they have started? There are threads here….

Seek not the sum of all wisdom: simply notice your own and begin to explore.

Either we transform old age or it transforms us.

Fairy tales don’t say
what you want to hear
they represent it

Light is knowing
Light is healing
Perhaps one thing

We are a connecting tissue one to another.

Fear sets loose
upon us
all pain and violence

Spirit engages

We have only us
We have as much as us

Imagine divinity coming to live in you, and radiate from you—how would you then be in the world?

:- Doug.

Does aging wear down our ego?

:- Doug.

What do you long for to complete your life? How does it involve the world?

:- Doug.

What does aging mean? Eldering?

:- Doug.

Immersing the masculine in the feminine sea, and vice versa, secular into sacred, human into divine: these complete us.

:- Doug.

Speaking truth to power has a personal dimension: we speak our truth to ourselves and our friends, to the power of the norms that say Do not speak your truth.

I have a little stone fountain that babbles beside my desk. I can crawl into that babble and be found for miles and hours.

Stay in service to humanity.

:- Doug.

Fog out my window
My world softens

:- Doug.

Did you have a spiritual experience or realization as a child? What was that like? What happened to that in your adult years? How do you feel about that? Was what happened a good thing? Bad? Merely a cultural thing? Does it define and limit what’s next? (Sacred consciousness is to be without limit, freed to larger life.)

One has a mind-body
Inside is found a brain
Within the germ, the entry-way
To consciousness
Itself opening to the universe
In turn cupping a portal to
One

What is the problem of aging? Older helps babies, they grow and help the elder in turn. It is a circle. Must we be paid to help or might we do it out of love, or larger still, from our common humanity, or common divinity?
