a bold and scary thing
It is a bold and scary thing to go up to someone not yet an intimate and say I claim you for this conversation. Yet is that not the essence of life deeply lived?
I need to claim for others the conversing.

The world is far more surprising
than we’ve come to suppose
If we will just look hear taste touch & sniff

Conversation is in the claim
each has on the other
casting us into the waters between
Conversation is claim
on you and me

Of course you know all about me
That’s why to you I am a dead label
Were I mystery to be met….

Lacking one we blather
Lacking the other we become idiots
Respiration is healthy
Inspiration from others
Exhalation to hear our own

All in! Creator juice everywhere!
Emptying, sacrificing even dear life
Gathering! Welcoming! Safe and warm
For all my relations

Truly beautiful good
Beyond truth to all of yourself
With your beauty and goodness
See with your coeur
Act with your good beauty

Conversation and creativity beyond words
Let’s go there now
So when words depart, we will find home

I will not argue my case; merely state it for those who hear, see, taste.

Many things can be measured. The more important things tend to be immeasurable. Love, spirit, creativity….

Just glanced at an email that talks about delivering business value, and realized I do not want to deliver business value but go way beyond it. Life value? Spirit value? Something larger, extra, beyond the essence. The Added.

Earlier I was pondering the picture that I am wind: zephyr, air, gust, storm. It is perhaps a Germanic way of thinking: sturm und drang. In any event, does it help me to do this work by seeing myself as the carrier of the Footprintssm? Does it make me the threads or the nodes? It says I am of spirit and meeting. The verb to wind, as in twist a thread around, seems not related to the air and ruach, but to wend, weave, wander. But both are called up by the modern English wind.
So folding, en- and un-, fit, as does breathing. Air, blast, breeze, cyclone, gale, gust, breath, puff, typhoon, zephyr, curl, curve, meander, spiral, twist, weave, wrap, encircle, entwine, envelop, furl, reel, roll, twine, wreathe, wriggle. Words I like.

Another Country is telling me I am more a product of my times than I had realized. My desire to open up is in the time zone of the 60s, not of the 40s. So when clients tell me all is fine, and they are of my parents’ generation, then I want to hear that as where they grew up, and recognize that they want and need to buck up and bear their own burdens. Not being a burden to others is of their generation. Ours may be extending that with our feral independence. I need to move people and myself beyond these impasses to love. My struggle with conversation may be that I am of the hinge generation, swinging from stoicism to open love.
