Living is holy
Living is holy

Transformation releases energy. When one thing transforms to another, e.g. when water evaporates, energy is released or stored: it moves. When people’s thinking and emotions transform, e.g. smiles morph into tears, then energy is present and available to do work. Ponder. What work can we do? Open tunnels. Move toward action.
It seems the tears need to come second. Then the action comes out of confronting the complexity. Smiles last tends to move us away from the nuances, complexity, and depth of living.

We can get deeper places by bringing in the complexity. Challenge with complexity. Bring us face to face to complexity.

Some of our biggest issues are because we cannot resist the allure of the big. Wars, poverty, crime, alienation: all seem to fly out of the very size of our society. How can we relate to 200 million people, most of whom are thousands of miles away and out of sight?
But how can we get smaller? How can we reach fewer people? How can we ask smaller questions? For in smaller is more effective, more engaged, more living.

I am soft, I am content. The world is as it should be, and not as how I wish it.

I work hours on my router getting it set up to let some traffic in, keep others out, and direct where things should go. Then a single electron goes awry and all my work and my router is gone and we must start over. See this as metaphor for life, how an every day spark reminds us that nothing is solid, for ever, nor reliable, except what the heart chooses.

G expresses through the people
G’s ears, eyes, and hugs are our own
G exists through the people

Society needs those pulling it larger and higher; still it cannot survive by those alone: it needs as much the average and the mass to keep it sane and sweep its streets.

The people will do the big thing, the best thing, the only thing. Wouldn’t you?
