Feeling in the muddle a bit just now, needing to let things swirl and sort themselves out in the centrifuge of the day.

Is this accurate? Prior to 9-11 there was a spiritual awakening in the East, particularly in the militant reactionary parts of Islam. What they caused was a spiritual awakening in the West, short-lived as it was, then turned smaller and tighter to fundamentalist and extremist movements.
