One person or family can do only so much to clean the environment and reduce energy costs. But there is no limit to what we can do together, even a few of us. Gathering this few who care is something one person can do.

We can grow in confidence
by growing in humility
:- Doug.
No roses without thorns
red’s buds are ephemeral
gentian blooms all summer
humans bloom for a season
pretend to fang and claw
do cling to one another
by generations a little immortal

We shall know you
by your complaints
:- Doug.
Grumble grumble
humans will ever complain
but do our complaints grow up?
:- Doug.
I hold myself in reserve

Footprints in the Windsm # 1440
Powerless we stand before power
except in this age we are also the power
society, culture, overwhelm
an unholy trinity preaches
we do not have the power we have
power resurrects when we stand in the storm
unashamed of our naked primal humanity
Please pass it on.

We are all
and all in between and good and evil
is woven into our constitution

our grumbles and our sins
can move to higher levels
more subtle more meaningful more opening
:- Doug.

I nourish, humanity grows strong

You are complex and nuanced
You weave worlds
Out of bits and scraps and air

To shake the earth

The more a person sees of the whole
The more the person becomes whole
The more a person sees of her whole self
The more the world becomes whole
Mutually they create each other
You can open either door
To invite me out to play
:- Doug.
Death: the final frontier.
:- Doug.
There was still so much
else to do beforehand
and so we missed doing the larger thing
we came to do
beforehand…else
