I was surprised to see, at an information fair, that churches and civic groups and issue organizations resented each other, felt in competition with the others and with me because I was inviting to an event. Looking deeper: they feared there would not be enough workers or donations or attenders for all. They forgot that each project draws a new and vital constituency, that in this universe there are no limits outside our own tightened fists.
