We flit, we float, we die
Butterflies in a windstorm
Never knowing our children
Nor whence we came

On every side
My ideas turn to mush
My arguments fall apart
And possibly my mind
Caterpillar-like I travel
On too many legs
Do we all ever go
The same direction?
In here with all of you
Less is clear, nothing is clear
A medley, a mixture—a soup!
Is this how it feels,
Dying or
Inside a chrysalis?
We are making the
Frightening, unexpected
Colors, antennae, many-eyed
Membranes to catch the subtle airs!
