The colors of spring
come at different times or
the bees would get drunk

earth, rain, lightning
air, sun, warmth
time, life, weeding
mulch, bees, butterflies
microbes, fertilizer, worms
all these peoples
in our garden
to grow an
idea into a
work that nourishes

Throw in yourself!
Throw in
Your Self!
A street dervish
Begs your generous response
Not for the dervish’s good
For the world’s!
Throw in not some coins
Not some bills
But your whole wallet
Credit cards and all!
And the hand that is throwing it in!
Count not the cost
Nor try to look ahead
