Ever on a turning point
Are we ever
On a turning point?
Today?
:- Doug.

Open does not describe the Space
Rather what together we are doing
:- Doug.
If you say God is unchanging
You have poured concrete around God
Made God into a stone
Which cannot move
Cannot act
Cannot love
:- Doug.
Do you feel called?
In the wood, a sound of still hush
We are called
To love
Not given
A path
:- Doug.

We live in prophetic times: there is a grieving and a moving of large mythic proportions. There is a turning and we can turn history aright. A large globe is rolling; a little pebble can turn it. The globe does not need our might to start the rolling. Yet with all our might of head and heart, we must place the pebble. With intelligence, with love, we can amend its course, the course of this world. Where it goes is not known beforehand, nor does one pebble determine its course for all eons. We must be vigilant; we must ever honor, ever reverence life. Blood, sweat, toil, tears and laughter. And then set more pebbles.
Please pass it on.

Why do I care?
This is the milieu of the sacred
This is the milieu of living wholly
G*d is the milieu
The milieu is meeting for mattering

There is much that we do not teach, cannot teach, and probably should not try to teach. Among them are internalizing and assimilating the information; turning it into knowledge; developing the will and guts to proceed; putting the information together with the “student’s” own concrete situation.

Open Space adds the unpredictable to a group—a possibility for the creation of something new in all the world. It adds room for complexity—A interacting with B, C with X, J with Q, and the interactions interacting, to produce life.

I must work more toward getting inside of people’s minds and hearts and beings, develop more compassion.
