Unsettling
It is necessary in this work that you are unsettled.

The trees are reaching
not up but out
all life is reaching out
because out is
where we meet
the ever larger
:- Doug.
Once upon a time there is a community who reached its turning point by earnestly conversing.
:- Doug.
Footprints in the Windsm # 1141
Every person you meet, bow toward inwardly if not outwardly. Seek out, hear, their divinity, their higher nature.
Five times a day hear someone.
Once a day give a gift to a friend, better yet to a stranger.
Give of your substance, not your surplus.
Think Friend, think Us, think Poetically, think Making whole.
More to come, stay tuned.
Stay tuned.
Please pass it on.

Community
Earnestly
Conversing
Has attained
Its turning point
:- Doug.
Open Space is people making turning points.
:- Doug.
For a community the turning point
Is when its people begin to earnestly
Converse yet again converse
:- Doug.
The crux of a vital community
is to converse & converse again
about what matters
:- Doug.
With the shape the world is in
It is vitally important
That more of us vitally converse
:- Doug.
If only this poem would come out
There’s something important to be said
There’s something important to be thought!
:- Doug.
Would you turn the world?
Gather some friends
And converse
:- Doug.
To turn the world
The important thing
Is to gather some friends
And converse
:- Doug.
To throw in all my all
Is to find all my all
Is to throw in all my all
:- Doug.
I am to go forth and meet.
I am to meet whom I meet
serve him or her who meets
challenge us to become
us
:- Doug.
To die is very common: everyone does it. We do not have to fret over it: it will come as it comes and we have only a little say. But the say we have might be important to those around us.
We can of course ease the pain of the soon to be grieving. We can pass on wisdom.
But there is a larger gift. We can pass on love. Love not as a thing but as an action. What can we do as we are living to love this one and that one and all as one? Each may need something different from us. As we let go of more and more, what is our core, whom have we left to give? Whom can we love, specially?
:- Doug.
Touch a hand
hear a pain
hug a child
make love
make a Will
drink hot chocolate with a friend
worship
To die
is very common
:- Doug.

There is something afoot
In this community
Something for which I have no name
A spirit
Of can do
Of anam cara
Of repair of the earthlings
Of bringing about a realm of sacrality
& we can be afoot in it
This something afoot is of G*d
Please pass it on.

Do you have a life expectancy
Or an expectancy of life?
:- Doug.
We have ever humanized God
When what we most need is to
Divinize humanity
:- Doug.
Surprisingly
I do have opinions
about what matters to the facilitator
but not to me
—whether the Meeting structure is adequate
—or all volunteers are being properly nurtured
This is the difference between facilitation
that has its own needs and
the kind that gives my heart
time-space to wrestle with
what is strangling me
:- Doug.
Confirmation
is in the sense of
God’s presence
in the conversation
:- Doug.
Practice your gift
Make room in each day
For getting good at it
:- Doug.
No ribbons
No boxes
To give our selves away
Is to be vulnerable
Nothing tied
Nothing hiding
Gift already open
Flowing through
Receiving and giving are one
:- Doug.
