Of give it all
It is the now
:- Doug.
Lord, now what do we do of your work?
:- Doug.
The now has come…for us…to take charge of our world.

The third dimension is movement, dance, rhythm, story, song.

Naked
They stood
A row of 73 women
Looking down into the pit
Already populated by Jew’s bodies
Then one, the 12th from the left
Turned and faced the men
Behind the guns
Fully erect, not covering herself
Eyes open
Facing
Human to Human
Touching eyes
:- Doug.
Give up your thumbs
(Then you can’t grasp)
Your feet (then you can’t run away)
The ground you think you run on
All outcomes you strive for
Your doing doing doing
(It doesn’t get anything done)
All in G*d
Is moving
& without would be no wondrous
Kaleidoscope
:- Doug.
Of all the things in the universe, we can direct love.
:- Doug.
Creating does not stop
After six days
We rest
To continue creating
Right down to this day
Through you
Together
:- Doug.

See! One life
One life in pig and deer
Humans and all the races
Tree, corn and bean
When we divide we deny
We say this is less this is more
We kill
This is the evil that lives in us:
We divide evil from good
Both from this one life
Were we told
To not eat
From the tree of
Knowing
Evil and good?
How very different it is
From the tree of
Life?

I’m doing something subversive—I’m showing ordinary people they can take charge.
:- Doug.
Let us be members of one another, let us work together, let us be the same in our very diversity.
:- Doug.
We are members one of another, linked in the fibers of our brains and hearts, linked in our genes and attraction to one another’s faces.

By cynicism humanity cannot live—we must have a larger.
I remember the hospital chief interviewed on the 6:00 pm news, asking for donations because the hospital was running out of money, all the while seated in front of an exquisite ming vase. Yes, people run a long way from their principles. Yes, people say one thing and do another. Yet the fact is that there are people who are motivated by the deeper, that speak this language authentically. Indeed, we cannot live without vision. There is an adage that goes back to Aristotle I think that we decide based upon our vision of the world, we justify it with reason. So we can make use of both sides of the argument or we miss touching the whole person we are speaking to. After all, is our mission one of Dollars and Cents or of helping people who need help, of making this a more humane community?
So we need vision; cynicism tells us what won’t work, not what will. Only vision, creativity, experiment, and unknowing going can do that.

Humans do not live by Dollars and Numbers alone, but by every breath.

What gathers us together?
:- Doug.
Stages of faith trace the vertical progression of persons up the mountain; yet there is a horizontal progression together from It to Thou to Us to Sacred to Whole making. Both are fully involved in life.

Diversity is necessary, desirable, and loving.

My son, my daughter, your goals are not your most important things.

Do you truly know what the future holds? Then let us humbly work together.

Finding God in our hearts and not needing our neighbors to remind us to know the Lord is not something which will be given us. We need to work for it. We need to work until we see that God is in our neighbors’ hearts. And then we will feel the pulsing.
