I AM bringing people together.
I AM bringing people together.

We are holely people
You’ll know us by our many holes
We are wholly people
You’ll know us by how our holes never match
This way in every possible place we are
To you and every possible person wholly open
Please pass it on.

If we, if I, get busy bringing people together, that is what matters. Not the outcomes, but the gathering itself. This is the secret: gathering we are gods making the earth holy.
:- Doug.
Invite people together to take charge for their world.
Why? Because when we come together we add to the wholeness, we add to G*d. We add to the life of G*d.
:- Doug.
It is important to get the big picture figured out. It is also important to get my ears out there.
:- Doug.
Shake up the old so we see that central to the world is heart and meaning and especially life, so we act on the wholeness we are.
:- Doug.
Fit us to the world and the world to us.
Fit explains why we do not get along with everybody, and with some people extremely well: We fit because we are from the whole, but we do not fit in each place, with each other person. We do not fit there, but fit very well here. And we fit with many more people than we suspect at first.
Our lives fit, let’s see how. They fit because we are of life itself.
:- Doug.
What is that thing in you that wants to come out into the world? That deepest and best? That wants to come out through you?
:- Doug.
Why are we afraid? A friend in a meeting said we need to have the board decide the direction for the organization, not the whole community. When we assent to this, we say we fear the alternative. Yet does not the community ultimately decide—by whether it supports the organization by going to it for its goods and services and by volunteering in this community or that? Do we not have good people with good heads and good hearts in this community? Do we fear them or do we fear us?
We do not get out of control. We just spread it beyond ourselves. Does our ego fear loss of that little thing it can clutch?
:- Doug.
The truth is…
We are each other
We move
Our task is to take responsibility for our world
:- Doug.
Hearing ourselves we are
Hearing ourselves into acting
:- Doug.
We need to be heard. We need to hear ourselves. We need to hear each other. Then we need to do.
:- Doug.
Whole is both
from where we come
and where we are headed
for it is
what is
:- Doug.
People are living in dissonance between their hearts and their lives. If we but point this out once in a while, if we take our hearts in our hands and stand up and speak up, then others will take courage too. Who knows how many are necessary?
But the faith in the people? Where is that to come from? That too is a matter of courage and speaking forth the truth. The truth I see is that the Queendom is indeed within each of us and between and among all of us, and that will come forth if we take the next step.
The next step is precisely the faith to act to bring love into this particular and peculiar world in which we are living. Life bracing life.
:- Doug.
If we throw off what organization we have now, could it possibly be worse? It could. But something else is more likely. People of good heads and good hearts (that’s 99.9% of us) can be trusted to make something higher and better. Trust the people. Trust the G*d within.

I do not know if I have had the experience of someone telling me my story, but I do know that often when someone tells me a story it reminds me of my own. This I think is a common experience. Today I must listen for my story in every story. This insight is profound, it goes in circles, for we may see as holy the story of all others and of ourselves, even when we think it unworthy. Especially then.
Please pass it on.

The important thing is a story.
Even in meeting, what is important is the story: the story we learn of the other, the story we make together. Story is of action, and of meaning, and of courage for the hearer to move.

Grey hair is not the product of old age, but its harbinger.
