Conversation is autopoietic

Conversation is autopoietic. It not only creates itself, it creates the persons who are in its spinning: webs , threads and gossamer, making, working, weaving.

Footprints in the Windsm # 863

Footprints in the Windsm # 863

I will not explain how conversation changes things, because its means are outside our usual experience; therefore a new experience is necessary. It is not logical that conversation would have that effect, but it does. It is not logical that a babe in arms will walk. It is not logical that a tadpole will become a frog or a caterpillar a butterfly. For some things we just have to go through our fear and disbelief.

This is about a new human beginning. Something new can be afoot. We need only meet. Our resources will appear, not because some magician makes them ex nihilo, but because together we will see things we missed before. And maybe we will make things ex nihilo, after all.

bringing forth a world in all we do and are

Since binging forth a world manifests itself in all we do and all we are—each of us alone and more powerfully, several of us together, create worlds each action we make and more powerfully still, when we make these actions and resolve to be a certain way, consciously. This is why we see worlds of overwhelming evil and overcoming good simultaneously. It is why we must get busy, mind and hand.

All is put at stake

We do not seek involvement. That is too limp. We invite abandon. Nothing is required—until you say I will. Then all is put at stake.
