What griefs, hopes and questions arise
In turning toward one another?
Can hear there be
Life, world, divinity?
:- Doug.
The strings by which G*d holds us are the strings by which G*d is held by us. The strings by which we think to make G*d puppet master of our world are the same strings by which we seek to make G*d our puppet. We think the strings tie; strings are but strings and when strained, break.

What is an effective symbol for the role of conversing among us? A death scene?
:- Doug.
What is the live question? That means, What is the question which will bring us to life? For in conversation there is life.
:- Doug.
When we are in a small group
We are in the presence of G*d
Shh! Hear first, Speak reverently;
Remove your shoes
This is holy ground
:- Doug.
Ask the question about questions and story and dance and conversation and life.
:- Doug.
It is conversation that works this, but it is also this that works conversation, and it is in conversation we find our life.
:- Doug.
History consists in speaking—answering. The dash is hearing. We live in the dash. This dash is not fast. Injustice is when someone is not heard. Even those who are heard but whose pleas are denied have some measure of justice. The larger injustice is to ignore them, to turn away not your back but your ear.
:- Doug.
Ω 1This is the vehicle for getting us together. The magic is in the middle. The divine is among us. Ours is to converse and live.
:- Doug.
We seek conversation among those—us—who are in charge for the world.
:- Doug.
This world of ours is the meeting. When God said in beginning “Let us” God was speaking to us. Across the ages, down the eons, into our hearts. Proposing a partnership, a covenant, a playing.
:- Doug.
This
Is where G*d is alive
With G*d’s people
We gathering
Sparks producing
Hear, now, embody G*

We are divine when we community: when we flow and surge among each other, circle together, gather divers views and creativities, scatter abroad and see what grows, graft and propagate and cross and breed and hybridize. It is this roiling and boiling and working we are about, to the end that we do it again! Free of ends. Friends.
:- Doug.
The hum-drum of our lives, the never getting ahead, the interminable rounds, the one person per car stuck in a shrinking world with earphones protecting us from interaction with others—stop! Is this any way to live? The hope: vibrant life of mingling, bumping, dancing with others. Hugging and debating, working and stretching, taking charge but not control: this is the new world.
:- Doug.
History is hear-story: G*d hears our story and responds. If we see G*d is embodied in us in community, then this hear-story comes alive immediately, imminently. We are divine to the extent we are community-in-intercourse.

G*d being community
