Prayer is expansive
Prayer is expansive
Larger making our minds & hearts & Life
:- Doug.

There’s nothing in it for you
Unless a better community is good for you
Unless nurturing your grandchildren is good for you
Unless growing large as the world is good for you
:- Doug.
Are you enjoying your life?
Not yet every minute of ordinary days
You could: Find a way—
Start with a shift of your eye
:- Doug.
Commission people to open conversations
Commission persons as evocateurs
:- Doug.
Good and gracious friend
Be present at our table conversations
Make them juicy
Help us remember all day—today
That we are community with all
:- Doug.
The straight line is part of the whole
The curved
Part of the whole
You and I
—And—
:- Doug.
Time with you is sweet—
still you evoke service—
service I discover is sweet
:- Doug.
Traverse this, there is a larger
Traverse this, there is a larger
Circles, ahh, circles!
:- Doug.
The Way is the Way
A mystery you say
What mystery is knowable
As this—intimate—stay
Or go, ever present to discover
Revealing her secrets—lover
:- Doug.
There is a larger force
That you can set in play
This grand thing you cannot do
Yet invitation calls
:- Doug.
The power of memory
Can stop us in our tracks
Cleaning a house and finding a memory
Lying there
Sometimes stops the strongest ones
So too in conversation, of longing
Of reliving sweetness, remembrance
Can hold us from a better
Good future and good work
:- Doug.
Good heads
Good hearts
Good work
Good hands
Good people
Good work
Good feet
Good work
Good community
:- Doug.

Giving and receiving, getting and grabbing, making money are all lower functions of the human beast. Creating, nurturing, helping, intercoursing, enthusing, engaging, innovating are higher functions. Where do we choose to operate?
:- Doug.
Resources are in our friends
Access is all we have
Ownership is dead and deadening
Asking to make
Available
Intercourse is our access
All we have
More than we could dream
Germ of our hope
:- Doug.
We have access to the resources we need. All we have to do is call them into play. Call people, ask. People are our resources; we are stewards of all the rest, entrusted by our grandchildren’s generation.
:- Doug.
Do our people function highly?
Is it our belief holds us—all—back?
Let us move from mundane activity
Toward changing our—
Thinking
Creating
And what needs changing
:- Doug.
Conversation increases our capacity to—
Intercourse
Create
Interdepend
Find resources
Converse
